Lab Accidents: pic and fic

Here's finally a piece that shows more than one person. Features Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Perceptor. Funny how things can expand, it started out as a little doodle in my SAT notebook of Ratchet glaring face then Ratchet needed a reason to be mad so Wheeljack popped up (his head is just guh to draw, but hey, there's a first time for everything). Next thing I knew it Ratchet was missing arms so...yeah.

About the coloring. I attacked the pic with a 12 pack set of Crayola colored pencils, but it turned out better than I thought it would. One problem is that the arm that Wheeljack's holding...I put the circuitry on the wrong side.

Ratchet really needs to read the memes that Wheeljack sends out about his invention exhibitions. Walking into 'Jack's lab right when he's about to test something out really isn't the coolest thing to do....

No one had mentioned that today was exhibition day for Wheeljack's matter duplicator. No one.

So when Ratchet walked into Wheeljack's lab, he certainly wasn't expecting the whole entire world to flash before his optics with a thunder cracking boom.

When the smoke cleared and wheezing of struggling air intakes could be heard over sizzling circuitry, Ratchet stared dumbstruck through sooty optics at a perplexed Wheeljack standing in the middle of the laboratory.

Choked snickers broke out in the corner of the room and the befuddled CMO spotted a familiar looking red and yellow duo ducked safely behind a large red microscope.

"Funny...I didn't tell the matter duplicator to give me arms," muttered Wheeljack.

"Ah...Wheejack, I think it would be wise to inform you that we have an unexpected guest," came Perceptor's worried tone.

"And he definitely isn't a happy 'bot," snorted one red Lambo.

Ratchet's scattered thoughts finally patched together and he focused his glare towards the perpetrator of the incident.

Curiously, Wheeljack turned to regard his 'guest'. His head fins flashed spastically at the sight of Ratchet's sparking form.

A nervous chuckle forced its way out of Wheeljack's vocalizer. "So...I guess you didn't get my meme?"

"No."

"And-"

"Wheejack, you have ten klicks to get out of my sight."

"Wait one second th-"

"One, two, thr-"

"Ratchet!"

"Four, five-"

A strangled noise escaped from the unfortunate engineer and a white Lancia was soon peeling out of the laboratory, leaving behind three rather apprehensive mechs with the rattling CMO.
